A stand-alone solution for automatic dosing in the food industry.

Officine Meccaniche Boiano continues to stand out for its design capabilities and innovation in the food processing sector, with the recent delivery and testing of the new Candy Insertion Group, a stand-alone automatic module that can be integrated into ice cream production lines or, more generally, in the food industry.

The group, designed to accurately insert a defined number of candies into ice cream, is based on a highly reliable vibrating system with optical fiber counting, ensuring proper feeding for each lane.

After a careful phase of study and development, OMB created an initial prototype, which was then evolved into the final version with 8 parallel lanes, now installed and fully operational on the production line.

What makes this equipment unique on the market is:

  • the high precision in counting and positioning,
  • the insertion speed,
  • the flexibility in format change,
  • and the overall reliability of the system, even under intense production conditions.

Several competitors had attempted similar approaches, with unsatisfactory results. Our team, however, demonstrated that through rigorous, performance-oriented technical development, it is possible to achieve concrete, stable, and repeatable results.

The Candy Insertion Group is now a technological benchmark for all companies seeking to automate the dosing of solid elements in food products with extreme precision.
